Tatva is Asia's largest environmental science and sustainability festival, hosted by the Environmental Science and Engineering Department (ES&ED), IIT Bombay. By accessing this website or registering for any event, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Open to participants from all countries: students, professionals, researchers, startups, NGOs, and independent individuals. Certain events may have specific rules or age limits.
You must provide correct details during registration. Organizers may request ID verification. Any false or misleading information can result in cancellation of participation.
You must maintain respectful, professional behavior across all online and offline Tatva platforms. Harassment, abuse, discrimination, plagiarism, or attempts to disrupt the event will result in immediate removal or disqualification.
All entries—research, posters, prototypes, reports, videos, datasets, presentations—must be original or properly credited. Organizers may run plagiarism checks.
You retain ownership of your work.
By participating, you grant Tatva a non-exclusive right to display, publish, photograph, record, archive, or reuse content for academic documentation and promotional material.
You are responsible for ensuring your submissions do not violate any third-party IP rights.
Tatva collects personal details (name, email, affiliation, contact info, submissions) to manage registration, communication, certificates, and event operations.
Your data will not be sold or used commercially.
By using this site, you agree to the collection and handling of data as per these terms.
If attending in person, you must follow all IIT Bombay safety regulations, venue protocols, and environmental guidelines. Any damage due to negligent behavior will be your responsibility.
Tatva may modify event dates, schedules, rules, venues, formats, or judging criteria without prior notice. All decisions by the organizing committee are final.
Experts from academia, industry, and research will evaluate submissions. Their decisions regarding scoring and selection are final and binding.
By participating or entering event venues, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded. Tatva may use this material on websites, social media, livestreams, publications, or promotional content.
Tatva, ES&ED, IIT Bombay, and associated organizers are not responsible for:
• Loss/theft of belongings
• Personal injury
• Travel or accommodation issues
• Technical failures
• Damages arising from participation
Participation is entirely at your own risk.
• False registration data
• Unauthorized use of Tatva/IITB branding
• Promotion without approval
• Recording restricted sessions
• Violating website security or attempting system misuse
If any event includes a fee, refunds follow the specific event's policy. Violations of these terms void eligibility for refunds.
Organizers may remove or ban participants for misconduct, plagiarism, cheating, unsafe behavior, or any breach of terms—without compensation.
Using this website or registering for Tatva confirms your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms.
